Switch to Octopus is an independent guide. We keep the site deliberately light: no account login, no quote form and no collection of Octopus account, meter or payment details.
What this site collects
When you browse the site, we use cookie-free analytics to understand which pages are useful and whether people reach the referral page. That helps us improve the site without asking you to create an account here.
We do not collect Octopus account numbers, MPAN or MPRN details, meter readings, Direct Debit details, card details or energy account passwords on this site. If you choose to email us, we will receive the information you include in that message.
Analytics and referral clicks
Analytics events may tell us that a visitor opened a guide, went to the referral page or clicked a referral button. They do not tell us whether Octopus accepted the switch, what tariff you chose or what your Octopus account later contains.
If you follow our referral link, you leave Switch to Octopus and continue on Octopus Energy's own website. Octopus then handles the signup, quote, account and payment information under its own privacy policy and referral terms.
