Independent guidance, not account advice
Switch to Octopus explains tariffs, switching steps, bills, smart meters and referral-code use in plain English. It is not financial, legal or regulated energy advice. Your postcode, meter setup, payment method, tariff eligibility and account history can change the right answer.
Before switching, check the live Octopus quote, tariff details, standing charges, exit fees where relevant and any smart-tariff terms that apply to your home.

The £50 credit depends on Octopus's current referral rules, T&Cs and eligible switch completion. Only one switching offer normally applies per household. If you are already an Octopus customer or you switch through another route, check Octopus's own guidance before assuming a referral credit applies.
